What is powder coating?
Powder coating is a dry finishing process where electrostatically charged powder is applied to bare metal, then cured in an oven at high heat. The result is a finish that's thicker, more even, and far more durable than liquid paint.
It doesn't crack, chip, or peel. It resists UV, moisture, and impact. And with over 6,500 colors in stock — gloss, matte, satin, wrinkle, and textured — it looks as good as it performs.

Always our first call
We've used Colton for over a year and a half for powder coating multiple metal projects we've fabricated — from odd-shaped concrete peg bins to rims and fuel tanks. He pays attention to every detail, and the turnaround time and communication is spot on. We HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a job well done.
Goes above and beyond
Colton did our stair rail and our upstairs railing in our new home. It is gorgeous and he goes above and beyond. He communicates well, is organized, and clean when he is working in the home. 5 stars!
A perfect color match
Colton's accuracy with my railing fabrication was excellent and the coating he applied was a perfect match. He was able to get me completed in a short time frame, and I really appreciated that!
Truly an artisan
It is a pleasure working with Colton. He is very creative and does beautiful work — this fireplace shroud was our second project with him. He does exactly what he says he will do, and he does it on time. He is truly an artisan.
He took the small job
Adding a handrail to our front and back steps was a long-term goal, but finding a metalworker interested in the small project was difficult. Colton has great communication skills, keeping you informed on your project's status. He understood what we thought we wanted, and created something that made sense.
The plane will fly again
My wife had an airplane as yard art that took a hard landing on a windy day — a propeller broke off and two brackets snapped. I dropped it off Wednesday afternoon and it was ready the next day. Plane will fly again! Any other projects I have, I will be coming to you.
Unmatched attention to detail
I've used Colton for multiple new construction projects around Helena and Townsend. He will do anything in his power to make your dreams a reality. The attention to detail and care he puts into every project is unmatched — punctual, responsive, and complex metal projects done quickly.
A true artist
Colton did an amazing job fabricating and powder coating the custom railings for our new home. A true artist and very professional. We look forward to working with him again!
The centerpiece of our remodel
I gave Colton the basic idea of what I wanted, and what he delivered far exceeded all my expectations. The finished product will be the centerpiece of my remodel — right down to the matching hardware and torx bolts. I love the workmanship and cannot recommend him enough.
Both sides match perfectly
Our custom fabrication of the rear quarter panel of our Chevy 6500 tow truck looks amazing. You can't even tell it was mended — both sides match perfectly. Grade A job, and done quickly for us!
FAQ
We coat mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, and most other metal alloys. We cannot coat wood, plastic, or rubber components. If you're unsure, just bring it in and we'll take a look.
Properly applied powder coating on a clean metal surface typically lasts 15–20 years under normal outdoor use. It resists UV fading, chipping, and corrosion far better than standard spray paint or liquid finishes.
Yes — all parts must go down to bare metal for proper adhesion. We sandblast or chemically strip as needed. If your part has chrome, anodizing, or previous coatings, let us know when you drop it off.
Most jobs are ready in 3–7 business days. Larger batches or custom colors may take longer. Call ahead and we can give you a specific timeline for your project.
Absolutely. We coat customer-supplied parts all the time — automotive pieces, furniture, tools, and more. Just make sure parts are disassembled and free of non-metal components.
We have several hundred physical color swatches at the shop covering the full range of gloss, matte, satin, wrinkle, and textured finishes.
